Many of us are making brilliant small changes and taking onboard more sustainable alternatives to reduce our environmental footprint in the world. It is because we firmly believe that there are inspiring small changes within our community that just need to be shared to inspire others to follow suit. Hence we wanted to collect some small changes from our community that are just that, small, but very powerful with high impact ⭐
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MINDSET
Changing your mindset is the most valuable tool, in my opinion.. as that enables you to open up to so much more and also being able to notice more. We have also found that no matter how small, all swaps are better than none and they soon start to add up. @a.mumslife
REFINE YOUR MEDIA INTAKE
Mainstream media can’t always be trusted to bring light to the most critical issues and most of it pressures us into unnecessary consumerism. one small but powerful change is definitely to refine the media and content you consume, finding the news outlets which speak about the really important issues and follow the people and businesses that are dedicated to the important messages that mainstream media chooses to neglect. @loganrosehackney
One really helpful change is reusable bamboo pads. I use them in the shower to wash my face, I use them to remove make-up or just to clean my face. They are so versatile and once I have used them all you just pop them in the wash and then reuse again. @__goinggreen
REDUCE JUNK MAIL
My one small change is to remove all junk mail. Billion of junk mail are sent to households each year and are directly discarded. I started by contacting my bank and utility companies for online statements and as I received junk mail I contacted them and changed my contact preferences, which took a couple of minutes. I no longer receive junk mail, and barely any mail via post. @theoceanaut
The reusable water bottle is my go-to small change because I drink water all the time and need to always bring it for my son, hence the plastic and resource savings compared to single-use plastic bottles are huge, and we stay hydrated all day! @caroline.delezardiere
