#SMALLCHANGES - ON THE GO

Many of us are constantly on the go! Unfortunately, being out and about has become linked with increased packaging and plastic consumption. News for you, it does not have to be this way! Here you will find some great community tips on how to be more sustainable whilst on the go.

PLAN AHEAD

Plan ahead, especially for meals. Convenience = plastic! @sistersagainstplastic

LITTER PICK

If you see litter in the street, collect it and put it in the trash. That way you stop it from causing further environmental damage. @mariovaracalli

EAT IN

Takeaway food come with a lot more single use plastic and packaging. Whenever possible eat in the restaurant instead of taking your food to go. @emilyholden

SUBSCRIBE AND SAVE

Zero waste shopping requires a little more planning. We use subscription services that deliver regular items; our local milkman Mr milk in glass bottles, Riverford for vegetables and Who Gives a Crap for plastic-free recycled toilet paper. @atnoplasticshop

REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE

Bottles are the biggest source of plastic pollution in rivers, 6.9% of plastic bottles are littered each year in the UK. Use a reusable water bottle every day, and refill with tap water at home, work or on the go. @earthwatcheurope
