These days, offices and workplaces are becoming more dynamic and eco-friendly to allow for increased creativity and community. We therefore absolutely love these community tips on how to be more sustainable at work.
MILK CLUB
Have milk delivered to the office in glass bottles. The bottles can be washed and reused up to 50 times before being completely recycled. @cgeinnovation
REUSABLE BAGS
In a bid to be a greener office, my work has reusable bags by the front door for people to borrow when they are “nipping to the shop” at lunchtime. @sevarina
LESS BINS USE LESS PLASTIC
Have fewer bins under people’s desk. Less plastic bin liners used on nearly empty bins and it got people up and moving from their desks more - also very good for you. @sevarina
PLASTIC FREE OFFICE MONTH
We tried going plastic-free for a month and will be carrying much of it forward including: bringing packed lunches every day, paying more attention to labels, getting a weekly veg box delivery, ordering locally instead of online, being mindful of food wastage at work and home. @visiblefictions
WORK OUT YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
At CRU Kafe we are working on figuring out our carbon footprint so we can make specific products in our lines carbon neutral through offsetting schemed such as tree planting. @crukafe
PLASTIC FREE FRIDAYS
At the office we do plastic free Fridays, it is also the day we do all our scooping our of coffee capsules and recycling our pods. We also do meat-free Mondays (we do team lunches) an all our team use Keepcup and a reusable water bottle. @crukafe
