We have completely fallen in love with oat milk over the last two years. It is vegan, hypoallergenic and the most environmentally friendly milk alternative with the least effect on nature around us, so in short it's AWESOME!

However, it can get expensive and does generate a large amount of packaging if you consume it on a daily basis so we thought we would share a great recipe by brilliant Paula @plantifultaste

- 2 cups of rolled oats

- 4 cups ice-cold water (warm water makes oats slimy)

- 2 tsp maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)

- a pinch of salt

- 1/8 tsp vanilla (a piece of peel in a vanilla bean)

How to

1) Rinse the oats with cold water in a sieve very well

2) Blend all ingredients in a blender on medium speed for 20-30 seconds

3) Gently strain through a nut milk bag or any cloth without squeezing too hard

4) Pour into a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to a week
